Lumiveil services are intended for adults seeking legal assistance related to elder law, estate planning and related matters. By using our services you confirm you meet applicable eligibility requirements and are acting in accordance with local law.

You represent that you are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you act on behalf of a client, you must have authority to consent to these terms on their behalf.

Services must be used for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use Lumiveil to engage in fraudulent, abusive or illegal activities or to provide false or misleading information.

Lumiveil operates from Singapore and provides services subject to local regulatory limitations. Availability of specific services may vary by jurisdiction and may be restricted where prohibited by law.

Account responsibilities

To access certain sections of our services you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and safeguarding access credentials.

You must provide truthful and complete information when creating or updating an account. Failure to provide accurate data may result in restricted access or termination of services.

Keep login credentials confidential. Notify Lumiveil promptly of any suspected account compromise so we can take protective measures.

Accounts are non-transferable without prior written consent from Lumiveil. Sharing access credentials with third parties is not permitted.

Lumiveil may suspend or restrict access to accounts that violate these terms, pose a security risk, or for non-payment of fees where applicable.

Services provided

Lumiveil provides legal assistance services tailored to seniors, including information, document review, referrals, and consultations. Services may be delivered by qualified personnel or through partnerships with licensed legal practitioners. Specific service scope and limitations will be communicated at engagement.

Service offerings, features and availability may change over time. Lumiveil will notify clients of material changes where required and will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption to ongoing matters.

Availability of consultations and appointments may be subject to scheduling and practitioner availability. Lumiveil will communicate realistic timelines for appointments and service delivery.

User rules and conduct

Users must follow reasonable rules of conduct to maintain a safe, respectful and lawful service environment. Violations may result in restricted access or termination.

• Act respectfully toward staff and other users; abusive behavior is prohibited.
• Provide accurate and complete information when requested for service delivery.
• Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or authority.
• Do not upload malicious software, spam or unlawful content to Lumiveil platforms.
• Comply with applicable laws and professional standards when using our services.
• Refrain from soliciting or advertising on Lumiveil platforms without prior consent.
• Cooperate with reasonable requests to verify identity or to resolve disputes about service delivery.

User content

Users may provide content such as documents, instructions or feedback as part of service delivery. You remain responsible for the legality and accuracy of any materials you submit.

You retain ownership of content you submit to Lumiveil. By submitting content, you represent that you have authority to grant necessary rights and that the content does not infringe third-party rights.

By submitting content, you grant Lumiveil a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy and process the content as necessary to provide services and to comply with legal obligations.

You are responsible for keeping backups of your materials. Lumiveil is not liable for loss of user-submitted content unless caused by gross negligence in our storage procedures.

Lumiveil may remove content that violates these terms, applicable law, or that poses a security risk. We will notify you of removals where feasible.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in Lumiveil branding, website design and proprietary materials belong to Lumiveil or its licensors. Users may only use such materials with prior written permission.

• Do not reproduce Lumiveil activity or logos without express written permission.
• Do not copy proprietary materials or documentation for commercial distribution without authorization.
• Respect the copyright and moral rights of third-party content hosted or referenced on Lumiveil platforms.

Paid services and fees

Certain services may require payment for consultations, document preparation or referrals. Fees and billing terms will be disclosed prior to engagement.

Pricing is provided in writing and may be based on flat fees, hourly rates or package arrangements. Estimates are indicative and may be revised if the scope changes.

Payments may be collected by Lumiveil or on our behalf by a partner. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of purchase and payment is due as specified in the invoice.

Subscription offerings, if available, will be described with clear renewal and cancellation terms. You will be notified of renewal and any pricing changes in advance.

Refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature of the service and work performed. Where a refund is provided, it will be processed in accordance with the original payment method and applicable laws.

You may cancel paid services subject to any notice periods or cancellation fees specified in the service agreement. Lumiveil will provide details about cancellation procedures upon engagement.

Applicable taxes and duties related to paid services are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stated. Lumiveil will include tax information in invoices where required.

Lumiveil may update pricing from time to time. Material price changes affecting ongoing engagements will be communicated in advance with an opportunity to accept or terminate the service under existing terms.

Failure to pay for services may result in suspension of access, withholding of deliverables or legal collection actions as permitted by law.

Disclaimer

Information and assistance provided by Lumiveil are for general legal guidance and support in navigating elder law and related matters. Where legal advice is required on specific facts, Lumiveil will identify appropriate licensed legal practitioners or refer you for a formal attorney-client engagement. Nothing on the site should be construed as forming a lawyer-client relationship unless expressly agreed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumiveil’s liability for direct loss arising from provision of services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Lumiveil is not liable for indirect, consequential, punitive or incidental losses except where prohibited by law.

Third-party services and links

Third-party tools, providers and partner professionals may be used to deliver services. Lumiveil does not control third-party actions and is not responsible for their practices; liability for third-party services rests with the third party where applicable.

Termination of access

Either party may terminate the relationship in accordance with the service agreement or upon notice where there is a material breach. Lumiveil may suspend services if required by law, or if continuation would pose a regulatory or security risk.

On termination, outstanding fees become due and Lumiveil will provide reasonable assistance to transition client matters in line with professional obligations and applicable law. Client data will be handled per our privacy practices and retention schedule.

Privacy and data protection

Lumiveil’s handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using our services you consent to processing consistent with those policies and applicable data protection law.

Communications and notices

Notices may be provided via email, postal mail to the address on file, or posted on our site. You consent to receiving electronic communications for transactional purposes unless otherwise required by law.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated and, where required by applicable law, your consent will be sought for continued use of certain services.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts for disputes arising under these Terms, unless otherwise agreed in writing for a specific engagement.

Dispute resolution

Prior to commencing formal proceedings, parties should attempt to resolve disputes through good faith discussions and, if appropriate, mediation. Cost allocation and remedies will be addressed in accordance with applicable law and the service agreement.
